Welcome to Peanut's Craft Room!

Hello! My name is Lauryn Zisler and I am a college student with a part time crafting passion. I graduated with a Bachelors in Exercise science in 2021. Since graduation, I started pursuing a Doctorate in Chiropractic. I am currently in my 3rd year of Chiropractic school and am currently working on my specialty in Pediatric Chiropractic. My love for chiropractic is something I discovered early in life. Many years later, I stumbled upon crafting and found my love for working with my hands in different mediums. Whether it is through chiropractic, sewing, painting, or vinyl work, I loved creating and working with new projects that challenged me physically and mentally.

While I was in undergrad in Georgia I began to miss home in Michigan, that is when i decided I needed a companion! After a lot of research and support, I got a ferret and named her Peanut. After a few months i decided she needed a friend and I found the smallest little boy at the store who was getting bullied. I knew in my heart that he was meant for me so I brought him home and named him Jelly. A few months later I got an opportunity to foster a sweet little girl named Luna and she fit so well in with the family that she became a permanent member.

As I grew a better connection with my three ferrets, I noticed they would become picky about their bedding and they had no interesting in sleeping on it. So, I decided to make some bedding for them. After some trial and error, and a lot of fabric, I found bedding that made them so happy to sleep in. I started Peanut's Craft Room when I got asked by several friends in my ferret groups and community to make them some bedding.

After a while I got some requests to make other items that I had never made before. One of the first items I made beyond ferret bedding was microwavable heating packs. Then some family friends and classmates of mine asked if I could make them baby blankets and chiropractic face shields. Since then, my love for sewing and crafting has grown! I began to do a lot of hands on learning and teaching my self how to make things so I could make products for my self and others. I try to always make items for myself first to ensure safety and quality. Seeing as I largely focus on ferret products, I want to make sure each ferret is safe and happy in their bedding or accessories! Additionally I make sure each product I make utilizes the best quality products and no corners are cut.
